Why a women’s ministry? The importance that God put on women and our role is manifest throughout the Bible. These ministries help grow the church, both here on earth and for the Kingdom. Women have always been important in church. We raise funds for many great reasons. When I was a young girl, our church had a Women’s Missionary Group. They met weekly. I remember exactly when I knew that my love for Jesus would be tied to women’s ministry. The facilitator was a wonderful woman named Gayle and there were 12 or so smiling women all sitting around a table sipping coffee and making small talk. After the study was over, I began telling Gayle why I would not be back. She said "nonsense" and that I would be there even if she had to come get me each week. And that is just what she did.
