Sunday, January 30, 2011. I found this great watering can this weekend at a garage sale. It's amazing what a little paint can do to change the look of something. It's fun to find simple treasures and make them your own. I think it looks so much better! This might have wound up in the garbage, but I saw something more. I saw the after even before I painted it. Friday, December 12, 2014. That was the last time she saw her mother. During the night her mother was taken to the hospital.She had suffered a stroke and died. One teacher put her desk out in the hallway in frustration when she felt like she just couldn't get through. Her father was constantly being called to school for a conference and he came home angrier each time. She was giving up. Just existing.was exhausting. Why did you take my mother away? Non of this would be happening if she was still here!

Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Being friends with your kids. I've read the articles, the quotes, the comments.about being friends with your kids. You can not be. You should not be. I think we have horribly contorted this idea and the understanding of what it means. Friendship doesn't mean being a push over. It doesn't mean saying yes to them for the sake of being liked. I would hope no friendship ever contained those types of behaviors. And by the time I get to my room I'm thoroughly disgusted with myself.
