http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2009/09/one-last-adventure.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Friday, September 04, 2009. This weekend is many things, including Enrico's birthday today (Happy Birthday! And Girls Weekend, the annual outing with my two childhood friends who live nearby. It will also be one last camping outing for Eva before we put her up for sale. I've started loading up the van, so the dogs know something's up, and they are So! It should all be great fun. Posted by Cousin Flora. Global Fund for Women.

Miscellaneous Shellfish: The need for Freedom
http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2009/08/need-for-freedom.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Wednesday, August 26, 2009. The need for Freedom. No, this post probably isn't about what you think. Yesterday, at the part-time job that I never talk about. Here because I can't find a way to do so with the appropriate degree of discretion, the internet actually went out for two hours. Two whole hours! I think I got more done in those two hours than I have in the whole two weeks that we've been home. Posted by Cousin Flora.

Miscellaneous Shellfish: Where to begin? Or, finding grace in anything
http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2008/02/where-to-begin-or-finding-grace-in.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Friday, February 08, 2008. Or, finding grace in anything. When last we left off, I had just had surgery to insert two metal pins in my left ring finger. The surgeon had, against his expectations, been able to save my wedding ring from the metal cutters. The furnace was broken, again, but the problem had finally been found and a repairman was scheduled for Saturday. Then, things got interesting. Stolen off my dresser this w...

Miscellaneous Shellfish: Introducing Sparky & Eva
http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2009/06/introducing-sparky-eva.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Introducing Sparky and Eva. Back in November, we traded in our beloved Subaru for a little red Prius. We named her Sparky, and she gets 50 miles to the gallon. Here she is in her native habitat:. Her name is Eva, and here she is on our recent test run to Oregon. Please excuse my finger in this otherwise lovely shot of Mt. Hood:. Posted by Cousin Flora. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Miscellaneous Shellfish: Where to begin?
http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2007/05/where-to-begin.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Wednesday, May 23, 2007. I guess I'll begin with the Check Engine light. Somehow in my mind, that's where it all started. At home I found a note from the dog-walker suggesting Nelly might have another bladder infection. I'd been asleep an hour when the dogs woke me up with their barking. At first it was a typical alarm bark, which I planned to ignore, and then suddenly, they amped up to a frenetic pitch I had never hea...

Miscellaneous Shellfish: To be anonymous, or not...
http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2007/01/to-be-anonymous-or-not.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Thursday, January 25, 2007. To be anonymous, or not. Well, it's been a while since I blogged, obviously! Now, I'm not fixated on anonymity. As if anyone out there on the Web really cares about me and my little life! My dogs, I guess. And there's already probably too much of that. So it seems I have to make a choice. I either make a practice of not blogging about work, or convert to a public identify and make a practice...

Miscellaneous Shellfish: More treasures!
http://cousinflora.blogspot.com/2009/09/more-treasures.html
I have such a lot in common with Jane Austen. Neither of us could endure a mess.". Thursday, September 03, 2009. Is there any urgency to buying this stuff? No Our storage crunch has been with us for a year, and thus demonstrably doesn't need to be fixed immediately. Boeing will always have more castoffs. So why do I insist on adding one more thing to my list, shoehorning in the time to drive the van down to Boeing and pick up dirty old crap? Posted by Cousin Flora. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

A good thing it is to be with: And there is more!
http://frondescence.blogspot.com/2009/04/and-there-is-more.html
A good thing it is to be with. Wednesday, April 22, 2009. And there is more! I barely bought any plants that weren't on my list. but this Geranium phaeum. Had to come home with me. I could hear it begging me as I walked by. I also bought a dwarf Boxwood. I have always loved boxwood, but the ones around here get such sad winter burn. This one, at a maximum height of 6 inches, can easily come inside for the winter. Oh wait, I remember, it is Bergeranthus. Never heard of it before. And here is a cute Linaria.

A good thing it is to be with. Friday, May 08, 2009. If only the squirrels knew what beauty they were eating when they chew off the tops, they would refrain from their destruction. I like to think so. Posted by Shelly at 11:31 AM. Well i did buy the entire sandi henderson set that you liked. it was called farmer's market. do you like any of the ones listed a few posts below? It would be better to combine a few collections, otherwise it is too matchy. View my complete profile. And there is more!

A good thing it is to be with: February 2007
http://frondescence.blogspot.com/2007_02_01_archive.html
A good thing it is to be with. Wednesday, February 28, 2007. I think I must be the slowest knitter around. Maybe because I spend less than an hour a day knitting, or maybe 'cause I am just slow. This is my new scarf, the pattern is from Scarf Style, a bok that I just love. There is a knit along here, where you can see lots of the other scarves in the book. I used Berroco Ultra Alpaca (worsted weight), four skeins. I want to make it again using a DK weight yarn, for a more delicate look. I of course can't...
