We typically start with open faced hot turkey sandwiches with leftover mashed potatoes and gravy. After that we usually go with the cold turkey sandwich. Staying connected with family and friends across the country. Friday, November 18, 2011. Posted by the opsahls at 10:32 AM. We all have heard that sleep is necessary for us to be healthy. The debate still continues as to how much sleep that is. So what happens when you don't get enough? As the rapid pace of life perseveres, "enough" sleep remains elusive. Soon the ability to reason becomes incomprehensible. I don't even know where to begin with this one. Just for instance ;). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Staying connected with family and friends across the country. Times Are A Changing. Monday, July 29, 2013. Times Are A Changing. Posted by the opsahls at 10:46 AM. The past couple years of my life have been interesting. It got bad for awhile, but that turned out to be a good thing. That doesn't sound very logical on the surface, so let me explain. I think she far underestimated her value. My husband's father passed away. I could see the pain in my husband's eyes that I was unable to make go away. So much...

Staying connected with family and friends across the country. Whats T H A T you said? Saturday, February 4, 2012. What's T H A T you said? Posted by the opsahls at 10:50 AM. There were some things on my mind this morning, so I decided to talk with my husband about them. So I started telling him about some current events in our lives and how it was making me feel. Wanting his input and his manly non-emotional view point, I ask him what he thinks. Does a T curve this way or that? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wednesday, May 30, 2012. He came a week early. This picture is from the day before and I'm pretty sure from the looks of things, he had no where else to go. I started having contractions around 1pm on Monday, but kept waiting to make sure they were actual labor pains and not me just getting my hopes up! Jason and I in the OR. Seeing my sweet boy for the first time. I just had to peek at all that hair I kept hearing about over the blue curtain. 8 lbs 10 oz. Proud Dad, calling the family. Bea came with Dad...

Wednesday, October 31, 2012. As I was looking through my 'October' file tonight, I realized how much we've done in one month. Here's the short recap in pictures. Detroit Tigers made it to the World Series and then got swept by the Giants, disappointing the biggest Detroit Tigers fans EVER. (and the cutest). We've been to the park. A lot. Hopefully the weather holds off and we can keep going for the next month or so. His dad and brother flew in to surprise him. It was awesome! Both ways. Crazy boy. Wife m...

Monday, April 30, 2012. A trip to Anna's. Up late at night playing Angry Birds with Dad. This is one sure fire way of getting her to sit still. Our friend Anna lives out on a farm and invited us out for an afternoon. Bea loved everything about it except for the horse. I think it's just too big right now. Blowing bubbles in the rain water. At the end of the afternoon, she was almost asleep in the hammock, but managed a smile for us all! Making cookies with Mamma. Thursday, April 19, 2012. I also whipped u...

Dad made Bea a new toy with a box and a rope which she loved until she tipped over. Poor girl. She loves drinking out of a real cup, and making a mess. Ah, what says fall better than pumpkins? We had an impromptu photo shoot with the pumpkins last night. Oh how I love the light, and my beautiful baby girl (who is *gulp* going to be a year in 6 weeks). Thursday, October 6, 2011. You make m...
