Sap Happenings | Twin Maples Farm
https://amovingtale.wordpress.com/2014/03/16/sap-happenings
Our blog about moving east and moving on. Posted by Twin Maples Farm. Asymp; Leave a comment. We’ve been doing a lot of boiling around here… the sap-to-syrup process isn’t a hard one, but it sure is time consuming. It has taken us about 6-7 hours of boil time for 3 gallons of syrup, and today we’re doing a marathon boil of nearly 5 gallons. Ours is just a backyard operation, but I could see how people can go nuts with this! Where dozens of area sugar houses are open to the public! Larr; Previous post.

Our blog about moving east and moving on. Posted by Twin Maples Farm. Asymp; Leave a comment. So, just a short bit ago, we fulfilled one of the checkboxes on our annual list of To-Do’s …. We hiked down to Connecticut a few Saturdays back to scope out an older, but solid, all aluminum trailer large enough to fit both our horses, all our stuff, and even a sleigh… (If you know how I like to pack, I prefer to bring IT ALL … just in case…). And a great way to spend a cool Spring morning in NH! All in all, we&...

Little Life in the Lone Star State. Documenting the Little's life in Texas. A Little About Me. A trip home →. April 24, 2014. Last week, when I visited, Grandpa specifically asked me to help him with a project. He needed to order a medallion for my grandma’s urn. He wasn’t sure if what he had written was good enough. It read:. Forever missed, Forever loved. 8220;That would be nice.”. Sixty-four years of marriage, five children, nine grandchildren, and now four great-grandchildren. A trip home →.

Little Life in the Lone Star State. Documenting the Little's life in Texas. A Little About Me. Fall Planting →. Hello, New England! September 16, 2013. Our hosts did such a nice job making us feel welcome and right at home. Jed made some awesome breakfasts, and Randy had fun pitching in to get some farm work done (who knew my husband was an experienced hay-baler? I’m so glad we took a little hike in the mountains to see the scenery, even though this pregnant lady had ballet flats on, was wobbling w...

Yes, we did co-sleep safety with Owen in-between Randy and myself). It was a beautiful thing. And it still is a beautiful thing. It. But what about the parents? Their sleep is important, too.

Anticipated arrival February 2014. Monthly Archives: January 2015. January 8, 2015. Eleven months…. here we are! It would appear that I no longer have a baby. With all the changes that have occurred within the few short weeks between 10 and 11 months, my baby has transformed into a little guy who has very distinct opinions, words, and now steps! Of course. Would I have it any other way? Absolutely not. After all, the love is in the details! Holy moly, it’s been a year! 9 months… a little late.
March | 2015 | A Little Addition
https://alittleaddition.wordpress.com/2015/03
Anticipated arrival February 2014. Monthly Archives: March 2015. March 7, 2015. How has it been a month since Owen turned 1? I had the best intentions of posting pictures from Owen’s birthday, which went off without a hitch. I was so glad to have so much family, especially those coming from out of state, around for the big day. Owen seemed to enjoy the attention from new faces, too. He definitely made out when it came to birthday presents. Whew! A Very Hungry Caterpillar. 9 months… a little late.

Anticipated arrival February 2014. Monthly Archives: November 2014. 9 months… a little late. November 20, 2014. A couple weeks ago, my boy turned 9 months old. What a person this boy has grown into, considering only 9 short months ago, he was this helpless little bundle. He is helpless no more! He currently has 6 teeth, as his top 4 teeth came in all at once (fun! And, I’m thinking more are not too far off, because he’s begun the drooling and chewing again. Darn teeth. Here is my little turkey….

Anticipated arrival February 2014. Monthly Archives: December 2014. December 19, 2014. Owen Paul has been 10 months for quite a while now, but I just can’t seem to get to posting a blog on time. How is it that time seems to speed up once you have a baby? And with the holidays and me going back to my part-time job, time seems to be even more scarce. Alas, I haven’t given up posting….just delayed a few weeks. And boy, do we like orange juice! With the growing number of gifts under our tree this year, most ...

Anticipated arrival February 2014. October 5, 2014. His talking is definitely getting fun! He’s got Grammie taking turns making “pterodactyl” noises, and he is definitely not soft-spoken when he wants or does not want something. Hm…. that must be from his daddy’s side. Expat foodie. family travel writer. Smoothie Operator: Blending With The Boy! June 20, 2013. My son and I love smoothies. When we’re out walking we love to stop at our local smoothie store and buy juicy treats. But the treats get expensive. As part of our effort to start eating healthier around here, we’ve taken up home juicing! In my experience,. Eating healthy is easier when the food is tasty. My obsession with the blender started a few months ago when my friend P. bought herself a Vitamix. Because we ...

A Moving Tale
Thursday, January 3, 2013. And So We Enter 2013. Well, here we are. It's 2013. I managed to not post anything about Christmas, mostly because I was away, but partly because all of our Christmas photos are blurry cell-phone ones since our camera busted. So, what happened in December (besides M's Birthday)? Here's a point form list.with some crappy photos. Paul ruined Christmas by saying, point-blank "No." to G's question "Is Santa Real? G instantly forgot about it and still believes in Santa. On Christmas...

Moving Target | Some things about the world
Some things about the world. Pat Hartman on Earthblog.net. What Would You Die For? Quo the fuck Vadis? May 12, 2015. Where are you going? Where are we going? So I’m on Facebook, and a woman very dear to me has posted a video clip of white cops brutalizing a black youth for no apparent reason. My comment is:. The things you randomly run across on Facebook are only a small part of the horror stories you can find if you really start looking into it. Be careful. Be smart, and careful. April 2, 2015.
