Starting at the Byland Abbey ruins, the walk will take you through woodland, farmland and countrylanes. If you enjoy walking then why not try the Great Ayton Circular Walk. This is a strenuous walk taking in 7.3 miles (11.7km) of stunning scenery and views. Highlights along the way include Newton Wood and Roseberry Topping. The terrain includes a mixture of grass paths, stone pitched paths, stone tracks and there are several stiles on route.
