Tuesday, May 25, 2010. It or not it is the last week of school. I am sad because I will miss each and every one of you, but I am excited to start the summer with my family. We are trying to make the last week of school extra special. So far we have had Messy Day and walked to Sparky's. For some DELICIOUS ice cream. All in a Day's Work. Thursday, January 21, 2010. The fog and rain made for a very crafty afternoon. Beading, clay and painting at the "weasel". I enjoyed watching and capturing with the camera how each of the painters used the colors differently, how they stood or knelt, used two brushes at once, and talked as they created their scenes. The children noticed that the skies were stormy (not at all like our serene snowflake filled skies we made yesterday). So after looking closely at the pictures and deciding what colors we might mix together to make a stormy sky, we donned our smocks and painted the sky.there were claps of glee rather than thunder, however! And it seems fitting to have a picture of the empty nest. All is quiet around here now and will be for some time.
