You can see in these pics that there was not a gourd pod for the seeds in the second gourd. They were contained in a papery membrane and some loose in the gourd. Compare pics from earlier posts of the first gourd. I much prefer the pod and so does my nose! Once I finish the first gourd I will start on the second.

Tuesday, 31 December 2013. I had to make something for a swap, using Lutradur. I started by taking white lutradur, and adding a very thin layer of gesso through a stencil I then used crimson and orange fluid acrylics to colour the lutradur, the gesso takes the paint differently to the lutradur and creates a nice effect. Sunday, 19 August 2012. I belong to a small international ATC swapping group. Each player takes it in turn to be hostess, and to set the theme for that month. Some of the themes are challenging, and it's always interesting to see how everybody interprets the theme. These are a few of the ATCs I've made for that group this year. The first ATC is a textile ATC, made by sewing all sorts of snippets of fabric and fibre to a pelmet vilene base, zigzagging around the edge, and hand embroidering and beading.
