The Eggman Studios Notebook: Busy Bee
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2013/08/busy-bee.html
Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The tiny paintings are now live. I'm pleased as pie with how they all look together, quirky little things that they are. The bumble bee piece ("Escaped") just sold, but there are plenty of others waiting for new homes to fly off to! The sun is shining, I have a coffee date with a good pal, and have been making good progress on yet more paintings. Feeling both inspired and productive, which is always a hard combo to achieve. Hope your week is going well! Posted by Eggman Studios.

The Eggman Studios Notebook: December 2012
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Woodland Sprites and Sugar Plum Fairies. It's that time of year again! As I sit here on my couch with a cup of tea in one hand, sketchbook in the other, and a warm cuddly cat on my legs I feel most content and happy. Life is pretty grand, indeed. I hope you have a cozy and pleasant Christmas and holiday season! Thank you so much for your support and kind words, folks. Posted by Eggman Studios. Wednesday, December 19, 2012. The Eggman Studios Notebook: August 2012
http://eggmanstudios.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Friday, August 10, 2012. Art Journal Part IV: Ice World. Some day, I'd really like to visit Antarctica (preferably to do research). I realized a month or two ago that my "list of places I most want to see" is dominated by cold-climate locales. Antarctica, Iceland, Northern Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands. Then again, my closet is also dominated by sweaters and coats (I don't even own a pair of shorts). Guess that says a lot. Posted by Eggman Studios. Wednesday, August 08, 2012. New in the shop. Each pac...

Rhonda Anderson: The Lotus Dance
http://www.rapaart.com/2015/05/the-lotus-dance.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2015. In the philosophy of Buddhism, the lotus represents you and your mind of thoughts and emotions while living on this earth plane. The lotus rises from murky muddiness and grows to the surface of the water where there is light. There are many different meanings as to the openness as well as the color of the lotus flower, but basically the meaning of an open lotus flower is the attainment of enlightenment. I've also had fun with masterpiece studies with the small scale of an ATC car...

Rhonda Anderson: April 2014
http://www.rapaart.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 25, 2014. I tried to do this painting once before but it, unfortunately, turned out to be a horrible disaster combining acrylics and colored pencils. I long ago gave up on that painting and now keep it nearby me as a reference for the colors. It was a pain to sketch this out on watercolor paper but here it is. I used a vermillion watercolor pencil. Snookie Lined on 300lb Hot press. We should all go out something like that! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). CPSA - San Diego.

Rhonda Anderson: November 2014
http://www.rapaart.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 18, 2014. November - Turning the Big 60! Last month, I participated in a Halloween-A-Thon on IATCs and made cards to trade to other artists based on horror movies. I bought a Super Deluxe Heavy weight drawing paper sketch book thinking I could use a variety of mediums on it. So I quickly sketched out the movie theme horror scenes using "Clockwork Orange", "Psycho" "Frankenstein" and "Carrie". My Jack Nicholson didn't come out as well as expected so he was trashed. Green Witch with Cat.

Rhonda Anderson: Hand Art and Day of the Dead!
http://www.rapaart.com/2014/09/hand-art-and-day-of-dead.html
Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Hand Art and Day of the Dead! St Benedictus of Honor Skull. Although it's a month early, I'm always up for some spooky skull art! These skulls are for a Pen and Ink Skull Swap and are done on 4 x 6 vellom surface Bristol paper. It's been awhile since I've drawn strictly with pens in super detail and it was hard to resist the temptation of adding watercolors, but it's strictly forbidden! I have had my hands literally full of art! I love your work! September 11, 2014 at 6:03 AM.

Sunday, May 25, 2014. MTRP Seven - 2014. I love this video of the San Diego Chapter's colored pencil show in Mission Trails Regional Park! Come see it if you get a chance. Not only is the venue beautiful and peaceful, walk out doors and hike some of the trails. The Kumeyaay Indians once lived here and you can still come upon some rocks the women used to grind their food. Links to this post. Friday, May 9, 2014. Memory and the Heaviside Layer. Thursday, September 25, 2014. Faded Manuscript within Reality" by artist Arup Lodh, SDWS International Director's Postcard Award. I'm so excited to say that I've been juried into the 34th International Exhibition at the San Diego Watercolor Society. This is the second time I've been accepted and juried in and I only need one more to go before I earn letters. The juror, Skip Lawrence, was very touched by my entry and I also won a sweet award! The show is running for all of October. Links to this post.
