Books, Writing, Editing, Life. Prepping for Research Trip. Jul 2nd, 2009 at 10:14 AM. Yesterday, I had a revelation. It wasn't a big one. Probably, it was one that most of you had and didn't really notice or pay much attention to. Here it is:. OMG, it's July. Did my first draft get written in June? Buthere's the other thing about July. In one month, I go to Chicago to do research for this WIP. And I need to put some time into that, so I don't want into those museums with a big Um! Were Ida B. Wells a...

http://beckylevine.livejournal.com/104235.html
Books, Writing, Editing, Life. Six on a Saturday. Jun 27th, 2009 at 5:22 PM. 1 It is hot. And it will be hotter tomorrow. The fans are up and on, and the window shades down. And I made ice cubes. Survival likely, if not pleasant. 2 Started working on my copyedits for. The Writing & Critique Group Survival Guide. 3 We are deep into Season 4 of Angel. I did a bit of reading ahead online, so I know a bit more about what's coming than do son and husband. No spoilers coming out of. 12 comments Leave a comment.

Happy with it. Enough so that it was making the actual writing I was doing.unpleasant. Today, I took a chance and sta...Jun 20th,...

http://www.whoatemybrain.com/2012/08/a-day-in-life.html
Who Ate My Brain? Nick Cross thinks it was you. Friday, 3 August 2012. A Day in the Life. I'm on holiday in a caravan with no internet connection, somewhere in Wales, and really couldn't be expected to write a blog post this week. So here's one I wrote before I went. I gazed deep into my crystal ball and predicted what kind of a day I would be having. Youngest daughter wakes up screaming "Help! For third night in a row. 03:07 and 4 seconds. Totally Random Nonsense and Bits of Brilliance from a Writers Journey. Sep 16th, 2009 at 8:25 AM. I've walked through this life with certain. shall we say, expectations, about the things I'll do, the places I'll see. And as time passes, (a lot of it, more than 40 years of it) these opportunities pass me by. In some way, it is the natural order of things, and in some small way, I'll grieve as the dream- however small- gives up the ghost. I signed up for JoNoWriMo 1.5. The actual ending read: "They fell in...

The Mundane and the Fantastic. Mar 4th, 2014 at 5:10 PM. I can tell that I am having a relatively good winter because I have not needed to go out and buy myself consolation tulips to remind myself that Spring is Coming. Though of course now that I've written that, I am consumed with the need to have tulips in the house. [Edit: And now I do. Lovely pink-and-white striped ones.]. But even so, I am really looking forward to April, when the first crocuses and squill start to push up through the snow! So I sp...
