Wednesday, October 21, 2009. There's a 9:00 pm curfew here (not sure if I mentioned that before), that can get really annoying. Not that I do a lot out and about that late anyway, but sometimes I find myself wanting to run out for something and I can't. This morning someone's alarm was going off for about 30 minutes at 5:30 am. At the time it really made me mad since I was so tired, but once I talked to the woman about it I actually found it funny. Proof that communication works. Oh, Baby. Part Two.

Tuesday, October 27, 2009. One of the women came out of her room the other day and said, "I think I have swine flu." She wasn't kidding. Now everyone here is getting sick, myself included. That's what happens when there are a bunch of people living in one building, sharing bathrooms and kitchens, and taking care of kids. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. I made supper for everyone for the first time tonight. Cooking hamburgers for 21 people in a regular kitchen is not easy. Especially since I'm used to cooking for one person and am really only adept with a George Foreman. Wednesday, October 28, 2009. I was talking to a 22 year-old here the other day, and she told how she'd woken her boyfriend earlier by saying, "We have to go to the store and get a pregnancy test. Now.". I laughed and then actually thought about that for a moment. I started telling her what a horrible thing that would be to have happen right now. She died and we were all very sad for. well we're still sad. :( Drew and I decided to get a new iguana to help fill the gap. She's our new baby red iguana! Red iguanas are the same as green iguanas, other than the skin color. This picture was right before she shed, so her head is grey. After she shed, her head turned black! She is so sweet and she's gorgeous too!
