Barnyard Blessings

Thursday, February 12, 2015. I know what you're thinking. Baby chores? After Grace takes out the sharp knives and oddball utensils, like spatulas and vegetable peelers, Asher sits up on the counter with the silverware holder and sorts the forks, knives, and spoons into crocks. We used to have them stand on a stool and put them into a silverware holder in the drawer. On the advice of my sister, and for accessibility from the breakfast bar, we just use crocks. But, that's another blog). As for the actual b...

Barnyard Blessings: January 2015

http://amylarson-momma26.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Wednesday, January 21, 2015. My little guy got Superman pajamas from Grandma and Grandpa for Christmas this year. One day, about two o'clock in the afternoon (yes, still in jammies. one of those days), he asked me if he could run around in his underwear. "Um, no." He replied with something like, "but Superman does." He did have a point. Nice role model, huh? We got an early Christmas present this year. 6 adorable puppies! It's such an exciting thing! They looked like jumbo potatoes with stubby legs when ...

Barnyard Blessings: April 2012

http://amylarson-momma26.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html

Tuesday, April 17, 2012. A wonderful couple from our church, Mick and Helen, came over to watch the kids so we could attend our Dave Ramsey "Financial Peace" class. Since we were out sans kids, we thought it would be a good time to visit our new nephew! Paul's brother, John, and Carrie had Ty Thomas earlier in the week. He's an absolutely adorable baby! Big Brother Jay is adjusting to the shared attention, but LOVES his baby brother. He introduced us to Ty as soon as we got there. I've outgrown "matching...

Friday, July 19, 2013. Summer school- part 1. 160; Even though school is "officially" not in session, as most homeschooling moms know, we never really stop teaching. and the kids don't put their brains on hold for the summer.  We get to do more of the "fun" teaching when we're not so focused on "book learning".  Yesterday was just one example. After a couple hours of fun in the water, we hiked back up the hundreds of stairs (literally) to get to the car.  Although my calves are going to hate me ...

Barnyard Blessings: June 2014

http://amylarson-momma26.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Tuesday, June 3, 2014. For Memorial Day this year, we went to our friends' house about two hours south of us. They blessed with over 10 acres of woods and yard. We have been trying to go down to their house once a month, but it was always during the week when Paul couldn't go. until this time. She graciously opened her property to a camp out with us and another large family we know. Everyone had such a fun time! What a blessing to have such good friends. Daddy and Grandma Betty met Grace and I at the mal...

Barnyard Blessings: Puppies!

http://amylarson-momma26.blogspot.com/2015/01/puppies.html

Wednesday, January 21, 2015. We got an early Christmas present this year. 6 adorable puppies! As we were getting ready to head out the door at the end of November, Ellie, who had been playing outside, came running in saying something about puppy sounds coming from under the porch. We all went running to the door and very soon, there were 8 eager heads peeking under the porch to get a look at (and a count of) our newest additions! It's such an exciting thing! So at 6 weeks, we put the fluffy little pups u...

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Saturday, November 12, 2011. Dan was gone this evening, so the kids and I were hanging out. We were getting pajamas on, myself included and we realized Elise was not upstairs. The boys came down to see where she was and yelled for me to come down. I found Elise standing on the table with both of the boys' cups in hand. She had a big smile on her face. Oh, Elise! Gotta love her outfit too.we hadn't gotten past her warm underclothes yet.

She met Kyle in MN after she had moved from our house. He is a very godly man and we are so thankful that God brought them together. The wedding was beautiful and it was fun seeing everyone. Dan was an usher in the wedding so that was special. The kids did really well, especially considering they didn't get a nap that day! Stan, Sarah, Tom, Donna.

We went last year too and enjoy going on the last weekend they are open since all of their produce is half off! We were able to get some sweet corn, apples, and squash. Hays-Z Days: Fall Fun!

http://danjenhays.blogspot.com/2012/10/fall-fun.html

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Friday, October 19, 2012. The colors this year have been beautiful. We are trying to take advantage of being outside as much as possible. A couple weeks ago, we discovered this spider in the back yard. The kids had fun watching the spider walk along his web and wrap up the bugs it had caught. Even though I'm not a huge spider fan, they are pretty amazing creatures. God truly has a great imagination! Posted by Dan and Jenny. Family and Friend Blogs.

Amy's Ramblings

General ramblings about my life, and what comes into my head. Wednesday, December 28, 2011. Ok - It is the 29th of December, 2011. I am going to try a new challenge - The ABC's of Me. Anyone have any links for that? Or does anyone want to play along? Tuesday, November 15, 2011. As we get into the fall, and the holiday time, I find myself being thankful for so many things. I have been reading a LOT of other blogs, and found something on Kathy Osmond. S blog that I thought was worthy of re-posting here.

For Amy Larson

Movies, Pictures, and Musings on our new child. About Amy’s Parents. Something Fishy at Easter. April 5, 2015 by Lauren Larson. I had Goid Frdiay off from work, so Grandpa Z took Amy and me to the aquarium for some fish time. Chasing her around that place is exhausting! The rays were another favorite, and I’m fairly confident she was saying “ray” while looking at them. I could almost claim that as her third word, behind “hot” and “no! March 14, 2015 by Pete.
