Computers in the Classroom. Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Tips for Making Good PowerPoint Slides. Make your first or second slide the outline of your presentation. Use point form (4-5 points per slide). Avoid using too many words, use key words and phrases instead. Show one point at a time. Do not congest the slide with too much animation. 18-point font should be the least size to use. Use different size fonts when typing main points and secondary points. Use font styles that are easily legible.
