Amy's Book Den: Interview: Robin LaFevers - Grave Mercy

http://amysbookden.blogspot.com/2012/04/interview-robin-lafevers-grave-mercy.html

Tuesday, April 3, 2012. Interview: Robin LaFevers - Grave Mercy. Everyone please give a warm welcome to Robin LaFevers, author of Grave Mercy. Book one of His Fair Assassin. I see that you have a couple of Middle Grade series published, but this is your first book in the YA genre. Was it difficult writing for an older teenage audience? Hahaha, I see. What sparked the idea for Grave Mercy. And the assassin nuns? Well, I did. Tons of research went into these books! In fact, for years now my husband has tea...

Amy's Book Den: Review: Lady Thief (Scarlet 2) by A.C. Gaughen

http://amysbookden.blogspot.com/2014/03/review-lady-thief-scarlet-2-by-ac.html

Thursday, March 6, 2014. Review: Lady Thief (Scarlet 2) by A.C. Gaughen. Walker Children, 2014. Sweeps you into another adventure with Scarlet, Robin Hood, and their friends as they set out to win the tournament against all odds. Jousting, sword fights, an archery contest, all entangled with a blazing romance. One of the main obstacles Scarlet had to deal with was Gisbourne. Let me confess that I get so so conflicted when bad characters start to act nice. I have to be like, “No! The sequel delivered all ...

Amy's Book Den: Review: Alienated by Melissa Landers

http://amysbookden.blogspot.com/2014/02/review-alienated-by-melissa-landers.html

Thursday, February 27, 2014. Review: Alienated by Melissa Landers. Disney Hyperion, 2014. Two years ago, the aliens made contact. Now Cara Sweeney is going to be sharing a bathroom with one of them. Still, Cara isn’t sure what to think when she meets Aelyx. Humans and L’eihrs have nearly identical DNA, but cold, infuriatingly brilliant Aelyx couldn’t seem more alien. She’s certain about one thing, though: no human boy is this good-looking. Alienated surprised me with its fully fleshed world building of t...

Out of the Lockbox. The blog of Mary DeSantis. "I'm an -ism- enough said.". Writer (mainly fantasy), singer, avid Disney lover, professional sarcasmist. Saturday, June 21, 2014. Ok, so this movie bored me to tears when I was a kid. It was music and picture with no story or dialogue, and I was a kid. Now, I appreciate it a bit more, and I’m sharing my two favorite Fantasia moments this week. First: The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. It was the closest to a story, and it featured Mickey Mouse. Umm, well plot.

http://caughtinthepages.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html

Caught in the Pages. Trying to get back in the swing of things. Friday, October 21, 2011. Here it is, almost November already! I haven't fared well reading wise this month either like I was hoping, but I am still reading! Do you ever slow down your reading? Have trouble finding something to read or nothing is catching your eye? What do you do to get back into it? Also - when posting my signature has been funky, there is a lot of blank space after it. Any idea how to fix that? Friday, October 21, 2011.

Musing Mondays (July 18) | Should Be Reading

https://shouldbereading.wordpress.com/2011/07/18/musing-mondays-july-18

No man can be called friendless who has God and the companionship of good books. Elizabeth Barrett Browning. Musing Mondays (July 18). This week’s musing asks…. What is the last book you struggled to read through to the end, even though you weren’t really enjoying it? What made you keep reading? I have learned not to finish books (. That I’m not enjoying, because there already isn’t time to read everything I want to read — why waste time with a book I don’t like? The last book I struggled with was “.
