The Life and Times of Petula Pennysniffle: November 2008
http://pennysniffle.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 13, 2008. Kind of like the game "I've Never" only in reverse. Change the color to red on the ones you've done:. 2 Slept under the stars. 3 Played in a band. 4 Visited Hawaii- yeah not since I was 1! But look how happy I am there. 5 Watched a meteor shower. 6 Given more than you can afford to charity. 7 Been to Disneyland (Disneyworld). 8 Climbed a mountain. 9 Held a praying mantis. 10 Sang a solo. 13 Watched a lightning storm at sea. 14 Taught yourself an art from scratch. I had a full...

The Life and Times of Petula Pennysniffle: January 2009
http://pennysniffle.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 25, 2009. So, here is the riveting tale of my little misadventure last night: on our way home from spending the day with friends in Bountiful, I started having very painful contractions. VERY painful, where I had to focus on breathing to get through them. And some of them within five minutes of each other. That's right, Josh and Ruth! If we had stayed just a half hour longer playing Simmies, you could have had the horror of me going into preterm labor in the middle of your living room!

The Life and Times of Petula Pennysniffle: June 2012
http://pennysniffle.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Thursday, June 28, 2012. If there was ever any doubt that I am completely neurotic, this post will certainly convince you once and for all. See what I mean? And a huge indicator of just how much anxious, restless, pent-up nesting energy I have had is that I have completely finished not one, but TWO quilts, from scratch, while I have been here. And I mean from beginning to end- picking a pattern, shopping for fabric, piecing the tops together (with a sewing machine, of course! Tuesday, June 19, 2012.

The Life and Times of Petula Pennysniffle: October 2008
http://pennysniffle.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 13, 2008. I have come to the sad and surprising realization that my birthdays as an adult usually suck. I suppose it surprises me because somehow I manage to block from my mind all the bad experiences I've had and still look forward each year to my next birthday. I mean, I love presents- who can honestly say they don't like getting presents? Da, da, da, da, da, da indians! Yeah, cowboys and indians! I'm so grateful for each of you! Friday, October 10, 2008. Our First Day of School. So all...

Friday, May 1, 2009. Gas pain, thrush, hunger, not getting picked up as quickly or as often as he wants to be, tortured with baths, diaper changes, clothes changes, just plain colickiness- Lewis has a lot to cry about, poor baby! But here is proof that I must be doing something right- this big, beautiful grin. After all the negative feedback, this simple sign of approval is just so VALIDATING. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Friday, February 19, 2010. The Messy Truth, AKA Accidents Happen. It's late Sunday evening and I'm still sitting at the table, relaxing after eating a little too much of Ben's yummy pot roast and chocolate chip cookies. Ellie and Ethan are playing loudly in the tub, and Ben has gone to check on them. This is the conversation I overhear:. Ben (in great consternation): Why is there poop all over the toilet? Ethan (matter-of-factly): It's not poop- it's chocolate. Interesting. And Ethan was. Called "Sweet P...
