Cooking with Amy: A Food Blog: Julia Child's Clafouti Recipe
http://cookingwithamy.blogspot.com/2004/06/julia-childs-clafoutirecipe.html
Monday, June 14, 2004. Julia Child's Clafouti Recipe. Seem like such an American fruit. I guess it's the mythology of George Washington and the cherry tree. And then the idiom "as American as cherry pie". But cherries come from Asia Minor and are named after a Turkish town, Cerasus or the Greek city of Kerasounta, depending upon who you believe. Historically they have also been grown in Rome, in England, in France and of course, the United States. 1 1/4 cups milk. 3 cups cherries, pitted.

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Monet's Palate Cookbook: The Artist and His Kitchen Garden at Giverny. Years ago I wrote about Monet’s Palate. A charming film narrated by Meryl Streep. It delves into the life of Monet at his home in Giverny. Monet’s passions were painting and gardening, but he also clearly enjoyed the pleasures of the table—eating, drinking and entertaining guests. A new book, Monet’s Palate Cookbook. Posted by Amy Sherman. Get Posts by Email. Never miss a post, subscribe now.

Cooking with Amy: A Food Blog: Cherry Vanilla Balsamic Shrub Recipe
http://cookingwithamy.blogspot.com/2015/07/cherry-vanilla-balsamic-shrub-recipe.html
Friday, July 31, 2015. Cherry Vanilla Balsamic Shrub Recipe. By the way, if you have a large amount of cherries to pit, I highly recommend this pitter. That cleanly and easily pits 6 cherries at a time! It's a bit pricey, but definitely worth it to avoid the mess and hassle when you have lots of cherries to pit. The other recipe I made was a shrub. As you may recall, shrubs are vinegar based drinks. Cherry Vanilla Balsamic Shrub. About 4 cups washed and pitted cherries. Posted by Amy Sherman. Soda and Ko...

Wednesday, November 29, 2006. Quickie Pickled Radishes: Recipe. I'm sure you've read that women crave sweets while men crave salty foods. But I'm not sure I agree. Given the choice between a potato chip and a candy bar, I would definitely choose the chip, er, better make that chips. This is a recipe for those times when even a trip to the corner store is a bother. These are quick, sometimes called "refrigerator pickles" because they get stashed in the fridge. No canning, no fuss, no muss. A snack for two.
