Home Is Where the Kids Are. I’m learning something new-Crochet April 27, 2007. 8212; Paige @ 8:16 am. My mom is always crocheting something. She takes it with her when she has to wait somewhere for a while. She takes in on trips. She does it while she watching TV. She’s done it as long as I can remember. I think it will be something I find addicting. I already have a small list of projects that I want to try. A granny square blanket is one of them. Have any pictures on blog? Visit her at Amy’s Knits.

http://oohlalalauren.typepad.com/ooh_la_la/2008/06/out-with-the-ol.html
Summer Swap ». June 14, 2008. Out with the Old. Work started on the new kitchen last week. Currently, it looks a bit better than in the after photo above. The walls have been repaired, new electric and lighting put in, new plumbing, and tile is being put in at this very moment. They expected to be done with the tiling yesterday, but there was alot of muttering (and maybe cursing? In Polish when one of the guys started laying the tiles, but things are going smoothly now. Knitika's Knit Fits: A grey tunic, all finished!
http://knitikas.blogspot.com/2014/11/a-grey-tunic-all-finished.html
Monday, November 17, 2014. A grey tunic, all finished! I finished my hand sewn tunic! It's a bit tighter than I'd prefer. I can't layer it over anything, or it puckers like it's too small. I lined, stitched, and beaded the hem. I decorated a pocket to cover the butt logo. It looks a little crooked on the dress. Oops. But I'm pretty happy with it! I'd stitch some more things to wear, but I'm mired in giftmas knitting for the time being. Nicely done, Val. And it looks great on you :). In my mothers name.

Knitika's Knit Fits: Prototype Dress
http://knitikas.blogspot.com/2015/01/prototype-dress.html
Saturday, January 03, 2015. So this starts with my interest in the All Saints Zeeda dress. I've been interested in making one. Except you can't make one. It's totally doolally. Someone bought the dress and counted and documented. The seams in it, and there's 33 panels. I don't know how it even came together. Look at this thing:. And I added sleeves, in hopes that the prototype would be wearable. Who needs sleeveless midwinter? I'm pretty happy with the results! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Number ...

Knitika's Knit Fits: The Taupe Dress
http://knitikas.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-taupe-dress.html
Wednesday, March 04, 2015. And here it is, the Inspired-by-Zeeda dress! It's not at all an attempt at a copy, it's an homage. It's a princess-seamed pattern from Alabama Chanin, designed for knits, with alterations and embellishments to the skirt. I cut two copies of the dress from the pattern, making a lining that had the main structure of the dress, but not the extra skirt action. Here's the inside:. Let me show you the back of the dress. And the details of the side panels:. View my complete profile.
