A day in the life...

Monday, December 8, 2008. I'm sitting here at school at 4:30 am, so I figured I would update my blog. Why am I here instead of my warm bed? A colic watch. I'm on the large animal rotation - a horse came in last night with diarrhea and he's colicking. So we stay here all night checking his vital signs, keeping him on IV fluids and giving him his medications. My shift is 4am to 8am. Clinics start at 8, so I will be here for the rest of the day. Saturday, November 1, 2008. Pirate, Hayride, Bonfire, Weenie Roast. The past few years Halloween has kind of come and gone without being noticed. Yesterday, however, turned out to be a nice day. It started out as a long hectic day at school. I was exhausted by the time I got home. Then I remembered Billy (my puppy) had a costume and I decided to dress him up. With lots of treats, I was able to get a few pictures. Anyway, it was a fun night.a true Southern experience, I think. November 5, 2008 at 12:42 PM.
