Lunes, 19 de mayo de 2008. Fall flat on your face. Don't blame me if you fall flat on your face! The new scheme fell flat on its face in spite of all the financial support that was given. It's always amusing to see a newscaster fall flat on his face. I went to Madrid for a fortnight and I stayed there for good: Me fui a Madrid por 15 días y me quedé allá para siempre. Never will you see John with the wooden spoon: Nunca se verá a John último.
Slang: Dog days of summer
http://slangmagazine.blogspot.com/2008/05/dog-days-of-summer.html
Martes, 6 de mayo de 2008. Dog days of summer. Everything slows down during the dog days of summer.
