Lyndon, Erica and Bob Pickett. ACMC all started with several conversations I had with Erica and Bob Pickett in the Spring of 2004. At the time, Erica and Bob owned Flounder Bay Lumber in Anacortes. They were well known in Anacortes, and they have a long history associated with traditional small wooden boats. Both were involved with the Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle for a number of years. Normally, ACMC holds classes in the Winter and early Spring - before on-water activity begin. In the past, ACMC has presented classes and workshops on boat building, navigation, basic electrical systems on small boats, corrosion, knot tying, trips to Alaska and the San Juan Islands, etc. Did you know ACMC occasionally takes field trips to interesting places?
