A Virtual Walk in the Woods. March 11, 2016. That said we experienced a serious wind event this morning–sustained 35-40 mph winds, gusting to 60. In walking the dog this morning in the middle of it, branches crashing down, I got a first-hand view! My usually lollygagging hiking companion decided to pick up the pace–walk completed in record time. I went on another walk this afternoon and took this photo with my phone:. Something I think is unfortunate is that the media coverage of these incidents will only propagate more of the same. Before we heard about Columbine or Sandy Hook, I doubt many troubled individuals would have considered such an act of violence. The media coverage of these events has now ensured that the shooting in Marysville will not be the last one we see. From → Current Events.
