It's been over a year since we moved in to our new home and we continue to battle with really poor internet. We were told by the sellers unequivocally (thanks spell check for that one) that there'd be no problems with internet, but that turned out to just be salesman talk. All the things we've yet to experience the uninterrupted joys of.

Yesterday's fun activity meant finally getting into Son's Candy Experiments library book. It was the big candy experiment day so we drove out to a newly renovated shopping mall to find the new Heaven store. First though, we dropped off our recycling (all except for their art which they caught me trying to slide into the 'paper bin' and put a stop to immediately). And a few of those.

I found this recipe for snackwich rainbow cake. I am going to make it. We have a snackwich machine, we like rainbows, and cakes are fun to bake as long as they are easy and this one certainly seems to be. Vanilla assance 1 tsp. Baking powder 1-1/2 tsp. I'll update this post with feedback and pictures once we have completed the baking experiment.

Sandra and I have been studying all evening in the study. Its hot in here without air-conditioning and the door closed. Under normal circumstances the door into a stuffy study would be open. What a week…a wedding (ok so that was the week before), one of our favorite couples came for a wonderful and encouraging sleepover, my sis was here for a few days (although I think her boyfriend was the main draw… not us :). The weather has not been inspiring…we are so grateful for the rain but I really must say that overcast skies, low pressure and drizzles just don’t uplift my spirit! Posted in Daily Thoughts.
