Monday, September 14, 2009. I met Sandow Birk yesterday. That's write, one of the translators and the illustrator of the text which inspired me to do my own Dante was in town for an art opening and he met up with me to talk about the poem, he was very encouraging and offered to read what I've got up here he also gave me some names and advice on how to break into the larger Dante community (apparently there is one and it's global! Monday, April 27, 2009. So to catch you up a bit:. My wife's parents and younger sister live out in the country and it's always a treat to visit them and their many cats (they have four of them! I'm working up the nerve to begin on the second draft of Inferno. I'm still ten cantos away from the end but I'm going to run out of notebook pages soon and I want to start working on it again in a way that will keep the momentum going. Saturday, April 18, 2009. Yesterday was an awsome day. Best day in a long time.

Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Haiku Dante: some previews. I've begun in earnest converting Inferno to Haiku poetry and I think it's time to post a ouple of previews. Each Canto is written as a series of poems in the Shinru style, each Shinru functions as a stanza condensing the narrative and creating a structure for the abridged text. These are first drafts and hopefully I'll be writing Arguments to go with each Canto and put these together as works which would acompany the Divine Comedy CD's. I seem to ...

Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Listen, a dull roar. As we near the circle's edge. The sound of mad bees. Three souls run ' tward. They can tell I'm from Florence. As they speak, they dance. They were once warriors. They ask me for news. I have none to give. The same wars, new fighters. Do they have remorse? Eyes fixed, heads turning. I'm supposed to feel for them. In some ways I do. Before they leave us. It's how they live on. The roar of the stream. Has burned away every sound. We have reached the edge.

Tuesday, December 16, 2008. It's times like these I seriously wish my phone had a video camera on it. I have a really shitty bait and switch cellphone I got to replace my far superior one when its obsolete battery crapped out (what gives making a battery that doesn't last as long as the warrenty or the cellphone contract? A little of what I've been cooking up:. I've got two ancient microphone mixers that attenuate, shit that's all they do! Also I wish every synth had a real spring reverb. This is really ...
