http://wclwebteam.blogspot.com/2011/01/under-protection-of-trash-busters.html
Sunday, January 2, 2011. Under the protection of trash busters. You'll find on display in Angela Farias' office in the Stephen F. Austin building what, at first, might seem an odd assortment of items from foreign countries. Old shampoo bottles from Brazil and Denmark. Encrusted plastic bottles from China and the Soviet Union. An all-purpose cleaner from Singapore. A dirty milk carton from Australia. A box from Venezuela. Garry, Angela's boss, tells us she "has taken what we thought would be a small, extr...

Comentarios, ideas, lecturas y disquisiciones varias en la tradición del liberalismo clásico y otras ramas del libertarianismo. April 18, 2010. Welfare State: Los tres problemas.

Ombuds God: January 2003
http://ombudsgod.blogspot.com/2003_01_01_archive.html
Friday, January 31, 2003. Euro-Anti-Semitism or valid satire? The Independent (UK) was recently taken to task in Little Green Footballs, and elsewhere, for publishing a grotesque anti-Semitic cartoon of the Israeli Prime Minister. The cartoon appears to many, including The OmbudsGod, to clearly invoke the ancient blood libel against Jews (that Jews eat and/or drink the blood of non-Jewish children) – which is still in common use in the Arab media. Coercive marketing and the PTO. Is grocery day. Yep, ...

Recent Library News: Teen sections are changing
http://recentlibrarynews.blogspot.com/2010/11/teen-sections-are-changing.html
Monday, November 15, 2010. Teen sections are changing. Libraries cater to adolescents with own areas. Ten years ago, the teen section at your public library was probably an afterthought. At best, it boasted a few posters and languished at the edge of the children's section, all but consumed by munchkin-size tables and chairs. But libraries are changing, and the Valley is leading a national trend to create the kinds of interactive, noise-friendly spaces that Generation Y wants. Friends of Cuban Libraries.
