Wednesday, November 24, 2010. An Ironman Arizona Race Report. Oh, this can’t be good. I thought. After several futile attempts to pump up the tire, I went around to the back and filled the rear tire, which was fine. I came back around to the front, reached down to take the cap off the nozzle, and the stem broke off in my hand. No wonder the tire wouldn’t hold air. I wasn’t sure how it made it through my test ride on Thursday. Good thing I was fifteen minutes early! My tire was flat! Take a deep breath.
