Monday, May 18, 2015. A Wonderfully Ordinary Weekend. Anyway, I wanted to recap this weekend to remember what weekends look like down the road. Life is always changing, and I am sure these normal, run-of-the-mill weekends will not always look this way. We won't have Darla, he'll deploy, we'll hopefully have kids. life will just change. So this weekend we actually started a little early and went to the movie theater Thursday night to watch Pitch Perfect 2. It was aca-awesome ( sorry, I can't help it.

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins. The other day, I was sitting around and suddenly decided I wanted a lemon poppy seed muffin. I cannot remember the last time I had one, but it sounded so delicious and I needed it in my belly stat. I confirmed with Parker that he didn't have a drug test coming up ( apparently the poppy seed sometimes yields a false positive on that.odd. And happily drove myself for the store. This recipe will yield 12 muffins. Zest juice of 1 lemon. 2 tsp baking powder. 1/4 tsp baking soda.

Receiving Sympathy With Grace. Believe it or not, this is a thing, and I never realized it until I went through the storm of losing Taylor. People have been wonderful to Parker and me. Everyone has been so sympathetic toward our situation, and we have been overcome with gratefulness to have such a strong support system. For awhile, it was an active and fun way to get out of the house, and the perfect activity for all of us to enjoy together, We had an early morning, and beat the North Carolina heat.
