The Garden at the "Breeze" in May. We bought the lovely old farmhouse in 1998. Janet began rejuvenating the garden even before we officially took possession of the property. When we arrived, magnificent Yew, Arbutus, Holly and Walnut trees as well as numerous fruit trees left over from the original 150 acre orchard towered over a sea of parched lawn festooned with dandelions, struggling roses and overgrown hedges. 跨年的時候，被交大認識的麻吉找去爬山，想說反正我跨年也沒計畫，也就毫不猶豫地接受邀請啦！ 以前都是跟老爸去大坑爬山，從來沒有在山上過夜的經驗，這次要挑戰的是花蓮的立霧山，在太魯閣裡面，海拔大約1200公尺. 我們的行程分成兩天，第一天上山之後，會住在立霧山上的原住民家，屋主是太魯閣族的一個老爺爺，名字叫達道，大家都叫他達道爺爺，然後第二天就在山上看日出再下山這樣. 太魯閣遊客中心 → 得卡倫步道陡上700m → 砂卡噹林道 → 岔路右往立霧山跟民宿左往大同部落 → 擇右到頭目達道家 → 立霧3角點 → 達道的家. 0530 出發 → 立霧山看日出 → 原路折返回達到的家拿行李 → 砂卡噹林道 → 大禮部落 → 大禮教堂 → 得卡倫步道 → 回歸人間. 因為我們是定12/31早上六點多的火車到花蓮，而且剛好有中國的朋友來找我，所以就所以前一天晚上在台北找一間膠囊旅館住，順便帶中國朋友四處晃晃，第一次體驗膠囊旅館，價格不到1000元，在台北應該算是可以接受的價格吧. 一開始很期待房間打開來會有電視，結果膠囊裡面就只有一個插頭、床跟枕頭，害我有點小小的失望.
