We were grateful to Leanne Andino for graciously inviting us to spend a few days with her and her family at the beach - we had a great time! It was almost like a lake. Sunday, September 28, 2008. The pathfinders went to the Knoxville Zoo, and spent the night there. They were privileged to get a private behind the scenes tour of the zoo, plus were able to see the animals at night! They talked with Einstein the African Grey, and petted a toucan, among other things. And slept on the floor! Their nighttime tour lasted until about 1:00AM, and they were up at 7:00AM. Needless to say, Aubree and Mindi came home tired, but full of chatter about their adventures. It was a blast!

Wednesday, November 5, 2008. What an October we had! We started the month with a bang, with the 3rd through 6th graders making a visit to Guthrie's Farm, in Riceville, TN. It was a beautiful day! They had a wonderful corn maze with about 18 checkpoints with presidential facts to find. It was fun - and educational! Aubree's class went also, a week or so later.
