He was soooo excited for his birthday. It was all that he talked about for about a month. First, he wanted everyone to know that he was going to be 5, and second, in case you didn't know,w hen you turn five, you automatically get a bike. Tuesday, June 25, 2013. What Doesn't Kill You. Last August we got a diabetes wake up call. Harold's blood sugar numbers have never been really high. He was able to keep his A1C down with diet and exercise. After getting two blisters on his feet, that immediately got infected and turned into ulcers, we learned some people's numbers don't show how insulin resistant they are are. Wednesday, December 12, 2012. For my birthday Harold took me and the boys to Mexico. What a great place to turn 50! The trip was a blast, and I even got a Thanksgiving off from cooking. I think 50 is pretty cool! Harold arranged for a limo to pick us up at the airport. We had plenty of beach days. Plenty of pool days. Breakfast on the patio each morning.
