Harmonious House: November 2013
http://harmonioushouse.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Tuesday, November 12, 2013. The kids are off to school. For the first time ever, I was gently turned down on an offer to check out a little blonde haired girl and take her out to lunch. Apparently I can not offer the soft tacos and recess opportunities that school affords. Knife to the gut. As I watched her long hair swaying out to the car, I called out, "Maybe I can eat with you Friday! I was given a "That would be great Mom! Let's keep telling ourselves that it's a lot better than the normal oil. Every...

Harmonious House: February 2013

Wednesday, February 27, 2013. This post is in honor of my son's incessant pleas asking to be allowed to take his violin to school. A year ago he would have had an accident in his pants at the thought of playing in front of his peers. A year ago I would have hand carried that case inside the building and meticulously tuned it myself. A year ago I would have walked him though the terrifying ordeal. While holding his hand and giving him a shoulder rub. Today you're all on your own kid. UPDATE: Tonight in be...

Harmonious House: March 2015
http://harmonioushouse.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 1, 2015. Catch up post, part 2. So, school started and I found myself living with a 5th and a 2nd Grader. Kids, here is your year in a nutshell. Inherited my brother's dog for a while. He eats and stares. All day. Every day. Son, you were an elephant in your school program. I'm obsessed with your ears when they don't have giant fuzzy flaps covering them. This was over the top sweetness. Greyson met some people with lots of hair…and electric violins. 2nd Grade field trip to the pumpkin patch.

Harmonious House: December 2014
http://harmonioushouse.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Saturday, December 27, 2014. Good grief, the guilt. A 6 month summary for the three people that care (and a new beginning). The one good thing I remember doing for my kids was starting this little corner of the blogosphere and documenting every little thing they ate, said, did, didn't do, wish I would have done, trips we took, sicknesses we had, teeth we lost and pets and ice storms and friends and school and and and and and. It's Christmas break and I have TIME! I present to you: Summer of 2014. When we...

Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Lonely Mom of Older Children. This woman has seen into my soul. Dear Lonely Mom of Older Chilren:. Remember when it was easy to post photos of your adorable baby, or messy toddler on Facebook? Remember how you could publicly bemoan sleepless nights, and kids pooping in the bathtub? How your fridge was full of magnets and fingerpaintings that were impossible to tell what they depicted? Remember how you could Instagram just about any part of the chaos and it was still cute?
