아다치의 작품을 이야기 하는 것은 항상 조심스럽다. 작품에 대한 평가를 내리는 것에 대한 어려움보다 나의 십대와 이십대초중반을 아다치 월드와 단절하며 이야기한다는 것은 무척 어려운 일이고, 무언가를 끄적이다보면 다시 또 개인적인 이야기로 돌아가는 불필요한 감정적 동요가 무척이나 싫기 때문이다. 기억은 시간에 마모되는 것이 자연스러운 이치다. 개인적으로 흩어지고 닳아지는 기억을 붙들기 위해 다양한 노력을 하기도 한다. 어느 기억에서 오는 동요를 마냥 거부하는 편은 아니지만 '굳이' 꺼내어 흔들어대는 것은 잘 못하는 탓에 서랍 속에 넣어두는 편이라고 하자. 여튼, 영화를 보며, 감독이 의도한 것을 무시하고 감상을 하려 함에도 몇가지 작품 내적인 부분을 메모를 남겨둘 필요를 느끼게 되어서 최대한 간결하게 적어보자 마음을 먹어버렸다. 카즈야도 마찬가지지만)타즈야가 순수하게 야구를 즐긴 순간이 있었을까? 원작에 비해 한없이 작아진 미나미가. 한 명 정도는 머리 좋은 녀석이 있어도 좋을텐데.".
