A Gamer No More | I Wear Glasses by Paul Swain
http://www.iwearglasses.net/blog/Gamer-No-More
A Gamer No More. I will no longer refer to myself as a gamer. The term’s become synonymous with a mindless, nasty, spiteful group, incapable of even the most basic forms of empathy toward others. This is a community I do. Want to associate with. And, while this mentality has always been there, the last few weeks. Countering this is important and I’d like to champion and show my respect for Tim Colwill’s announcement. On Games.on.net. I will always believe in and support the work of talented developers.

There’s no pause but I don’t care | I Wear Glasses by Paul Swain

There’s no pause but I don’t care. I’m sat here listening to The White Album on my new Pro-Ject Essential 2 turntable. And it sounds great. This was pretty straight forward thanks to this video. I had a bit of trouble with the anti-skate weight, it was causing the cartridge to skip, I identified this problem and solved it thanks to this thread. Thanks to audiophiles Rob. For the model recommendation and to Sean. For the amplifier and speaker donation. I’ll use them wisely! Back to blog list.

About | I Wear Glasses - Paul Swain
http://www.iwearglasses.net/about
It began in the mid 90s in a loft in Coventry. Back then myself and my partner in crime. Had a keen desire to play serial link Doom. This grew into a desire to play serial link Quake, then LAN Quake 2, then Half-Life. you get the picture. In order to achieve these goals, we'd need access to the software vendors’ patches. How could we play Quake 2 without the viewable weapons patch. Or Father Frags Best. Neither of us had an internet connection back then but we did have access to Henley College’s.

A Big Change | I Wear Glasses by Paul Swain
http://www.iwearglasses.net/blog/big-change
In 2010 I started working on two websites, one the Russian equivalent to Monster Jobs, and the other, a commodities trading website. One went live and one floundered, but they were my first agency projects, and I loved them. Over the last five years, as my process and experience matured, I found myself learning more about the business side of UX design. So in November I handed in my notice at The Unit. With the goal of setting up my own business in February. And In The End LTD. I wanted to use my own tec...

Jonathan Edmund-Jones — The Telegraph

In 2015 I joined the Telegraph’s Subscription team as a Senior Digital Designer to help take their UX research and design and create visual designs for each user story. Style tiles were created to show how we could apply various visual treatments to the existing wireframes. Once a direction was agreed upon, I made designs for sales landing pages, meter pages and the acquisition portal. A styleguide and set of digital guidelines were also produced for any future work on the subscription process.
