Not Over-Taxing the Mind: A Red Herring Without Mustard, by Alan Bradley
http://notovertaxingthemind.blogspot.com/2013/01/a-red-herring-without-mustard-by-alan.html
Sunday, January 27, 2013. A Red Herring Without Mustard, by Alan Bradley. I got so wrapped up in beginning the fourth Flavia de Luce book, that I almost forgot to log the third one! I think this one is my favorite of the three I've read, so far. The ending was just nice. This one still stays true to form with the mystery, humor, and enjoyability. If you haven't read these, and you enjoy a good book that's clean and charming, these should be on your list of to-reads, for sure! View my complete profile.

Not Over-Taxing the Mind: Are you still there?
http://notovertaxingthemind.blogspot.com/2014/02/are-you-still-there.html
Sunday, February 2, 2014. Are you still there? Just over a month after the last time I posted something, I moved to a new state. I've still been reading books; good ones. I find it more satisfying to simply read them and let them absorb rather than read and tell all. That was getting exhausting. Why can't a book just be? I'm currently reading a book, again. Haven't read one in a very long time, and I find it's difficult getting back to where I was, with the yearning for more, that I had. Why am I here?

Not Over-Taxing the Mind: September 2012
http://notovertaxingthemind.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 26, 2012. The Second Empress, by Michelle Moran. True to form, this book rocked! MM really knows her stuff when it comes to writing historical fiction. One is prone to forget that it's fiction. or historical, for that matter. It was so well-written and educational - I learned a lot about Napoleon that I hadn't known, which was actually quite a bit. (Yeah, I don't like that guy.). I highly recommend reading this one, and any of her others if you haven't already. Based On a True Story.

It's a fiction mystery and the main character is Flavia de Luce. I'm just glad there are three more! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Get Updates Delivered Right To Your Email! Not Over-Taxing the Mind: The Mighty Queens of Freeville, by Amy Dickinson

Monday, February 25, 2013. The Mighty Queens of Freeville, by Amy Dickinson. It's books like this that keep me reading memoirs. This was, by far, one of my most favorite books to read. As soon as I was done, I wanted to turn back to the beginning and start all over, again! It was so enjoyable and funny and just fun! It was a wonderful experience I hope to have, again, in the future. I'd buy this book. :). You should read it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Get Updates Delivered Right To Your Email!

Otherside of the Mountain: 5 Years Old
http://cbhendershot.blogspot.com/2011/08/5-years-old.html
Otherside of the Mountain. Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Hannah turned 5 on the 18th. I am so grateful to have her as a daughter. I love:. How caring she is toward her brother and sister. How she is continually learning. That she is my girly girl, but also my tom boy. That she plays with her barbies but also cars, motorcylces, and trains. How much of a smarty pants she is. I love this pictures! She is such a character! Cant believe our lil peanut is already 5! Wednesday, 31 August, 2011. Home on the Range.
