QueenieDot also known as Jo is a lovely friend and local artist and tutor who I met at a knit and Natter at Make Do and Mend. She's a fellow veggie, Bluetones lover, stationary fiend, bookworm and lover of cake! Needless to say we get on very well! Here's some of her gorgeous work, I absolutely love this personalised wedding paper cut. There...

Georgia Coote: January 2013
http://georgiacoote.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Saturday, 26 January 2013. Despite having my birthday in January I can't help but generally feel a bit dragged down by the post Christmas blues. I try to see it as a fresh new page and everything, but the biting wind and icy starts can't help but make me long for the cheerful Springtime. I was approached by Hallmark. With some wonderful suggestions on how to make the january blues much more bearable. Four Ways to Beat the January Blues. Go for a Swim. The event took place on the 21. There’s a lot t...

Saturday, 13 April 2013. Pattern Pins of the Week. My favourite patterned pins from pinterest. I've had this top one pinned for ages and love it, I like to think it's the pattern breaking free from the ceramics, would love to take my work in this type of direction one day. I adore these gorgeous Ikea. And unfortunately not in a cool retro way). And how uplifting is this beautiful Liberty. I'm not sure anything else needs to be said - hope everyone's having a lovely weekend :) xx. Wednesday, 3 April 2013.

Georgia Coote: May 2013
http://georgiacoote.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, 11 May 2013. I just have to share this amazing prize I won recently on twitter through Blog and Buy Sale. Which if you haven't stumbled upon before, is a fantastic site which showcases the work of independent artists/designers/makers. It's really great for finding really quirky and unique products. I've been pouring over the work of Kay Vincent (Ketchup on Everything). For a while now - in fact our house definitely needs to have one of these prints. Friday, 10 May 2013. And marvelled at the Gru...

Georgia Coote: Our Home: The Lounge
http://georgiacoote.blogspot.com/2013/08/our-home-lounge.html
Thursday, 1 August 2013. Our Home: The Lounge. Just slightly dated huh? One thing I knew we definitely wanted was to have an awe inspiring wallpaper, and I absolutely love this yellow dandelion mobile design we chose from Miss Print. I can't stop looking at it, and it really brightens my day every morning when I come down. I love this little nook, I know they're completely out of fashion but I have always wanted a serving hatch! The lights are by Cable and Cotton. We've only just put up these clipboards ...

Georgia Coote: September 2013
http://georgiacoote.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, 22 September 2013. So the reason for my long absence on the blogging front. Our little Celeste Berry Coote (we're calling her CeCe for short) was born on 10th August 2013 at around 4 in the morning. She entered the world in quite a dramatic fashion and has been a very calm little thing ever since! The name 'Celeste' means divine or heavenly and isn't she just? She's perfect in every way and I can't tell you how amazing she is. Here she is meeting her big sister Delilah for the very first time.

Monday, 5 August 2013. So, I'm now on maternity leave and due to have our second baby tomorrow (hopefully! So things will probably go a bit quiet on here for a while. Here's a little peek at Delilah and I testing out the birthing pool! Anyway, thought I take the opportunity to tell you about the 2 other blogs I do with other people, so they'll still be going if you wanted to have a gander. Flowers in the Window. Is a blog I run with my sister Alie. This is a blog I do with my friend Kelly. But will be tr...

Wednesday, 21 November 2012. Lionheart Issue 3: Adventure! Issue 3 is here! And of course it's just as delicious as the last issues were. The theme is adventure and nestled between the luxuriously thick pages are beautiful images, stories and so many exciting adventures. Take a look at the gorgeous cover illustration by Gemma Milly. I designed a pattern inspired by adventure for the inside cover - I've posted a close up of the original design at the end of this post. Look who it is! A piece by Fritha.
