Obsessive Creativeness: My sewing studio: Storage for fabric by the roll
http://obsessivecreativeness.blogspot.com/2015/08/my-sewing-studio-storage-for-fabric-by.html
My sewing studio: Storage for fabric by the roll. How wonderful is my husband? Not only did he come up with the opening line for this blog post, but he put together a storage solution for organising my fabric rolls in my storeroom. The new fabric rack. A couple of weeks ago as I was searching for something in my storeroom I decided that it was time to do something about it. For around the same outlay - Aluminium square tubing, with plastic connectors. And what the same area looked like after! Top Right: ...

Obsessive Creativeness: Crochet Project: Temperature Rugs
http://obsessivecreativeness.blogspot.com/2017/01/crochet-project-temperature-rugs.html
Crochet Project: Temperature Rugs. Miss 7 likes pinks, so that was an easy decision, light pink for the lower temperatures, through to a dark purple for the higher temperatures. For Master 11, green was the clear choice, light through to dark. On consulting each child on colours, they confirmed that these were the right colour choices (without knowing what I had already been thinking). The temperature splits, numbers of rows for each, and numbers of balls were as follows:. 14 - 17 39 rows 3 balls (white).

Obsessive Creativeness: My Sewing Studio: Storage Pigeon Holes
http://obsessivecreativeness.blogspot.com/2014/05/my-sewing-studio-storage-pigeon-holes.html
My Sewing Studio: Storage Pigeon Holes. Let's play "spot the drawers" behind the piles of fabric! And I acquired a long triangular shaped store room that you crawl into, and lots of under bench cupboards. But there still wasn't enough storage. We added a rail to hang pattern blocks and WIP at one end of the room. Still not enough storage! So, a few years ago I devised a design for some pigeon holes to go at one end of the studio, next to this rail. The spot for the pigeon holes, before I cleaned it up.

Obsessive Creativeness: Lingerie: A cloned bra for my mother
http://obsessivecreativeness.blogspot.com/2016/09/lingerie-cloned-bra-for-my-mother.html
Lingerie: A cloned bra for my mother. I have been wanting to make a custom fit bra for my mother for ages. I don't get to see her that often though, and when either she is visiting me, or I'm visiting her, by the time I think of it, there isn't enough time left to get it done. As soon as I saw a comment on a FB group that it was available at Costco however, Bingo! I now have two rolls of the stuff. And had nothing to try it out on. Have a read of this article. A word of warning if you try this though, it...

Obsessive Creativeness: Stashbusting Sewalong 2017: January theme - Sewing Organisation
http://obsessivecreativeness.blogspot.com/2017/01/stashbusting-sewalong-2017-january.html
Stashbusting Sewalong 2017: January theme - Sewing Organisation. Where all the action happens. The first thing that I do to get myself organised is to have a well managed sewing space. One of the things that the Stashbusters group talks about a lot, is what we have in our stash. How many metres do we have, how many have we bought, how many have we used? If you don't know what's in your stash to start with, how do you know what you want to make? For those who use an iPhone or iPad, the Cora. Now for the f...

Obsessive Creativeness: Mother Daughter tops
http://obsessivecreativeness.blogspot.com/2016/09/mother-daughter-tops.html
When my daughter found out that I was making matching mother and son shirts. Her first question was, where was hers? I could have predicted this response, and thankfully, I had an answer to her question. I had been planning t make this blue striped top for myself for some time, ever since I saw a link to this tutorial for a stripy top made with stamps. Head on over to the tutorial to see the complete instructions for how to make one of these for yourself, but I've included a few photos of my steps below.

Ive been wanting to do a post for. 160;an indeterminate number of years about my sewing space, but have always been put off by how cluttered, messy and generally untidy it looks.
