Once we made it out of the airport, we met up with Ellen and her friend Laxmi, and then we climbed into a "large" van (which barely fit 7 of us and all our luggage - we're women, so you can only imagine the sizes of our bags!

Andrea in New Jersey. I am in the USA for a year, on a Fullbright teacher exchange program. I am teaching in an elementary school, and teach 17 of the most adorable 3rd grade children. Sunday, August 13, 2006. 4th July Celebrations - Margate. Independence Day-these particular Americans celebrated their independence from a Briton: me! It was unfortunately my last weekend, so that sent me packing back to England too, bit like 1776! True American style: we sat on the beach and watched the fireworks-loved it.
