Wednesday, March 27, 2013. On Tuesday, March 5. At 8:45 in the morning, Kendra and I reached the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro. It is called Uhuru peak and is the highest point in Africa. As a fellow summit-reacher explained, “I wouldn’t call it fun, but it was worth it! Our schedule on the day of summit was a little different than we originally thought based on the information online. We were also the only ones to do it differently. A few photos… and down we go. Friday, December 28, 2012. Exploring Quito: Day 2. There is not so much to tell about our explorations today. We got a late start after catching up on things back home in the morning. And looked at the old airplane on display. Michael said it is one of the first plane models to be designed to carry passengers. Now, it is all painted as an art display. why didn't i take pictures? Oh maybe because it was surrounded by a chain link fence. Exploring Quito: Day 1. Michael dislikes reading maps on the street.

Thursday, February 28, 2013. And start the trek down…. It goes much faster on the way down. We will have lunch at the same camp as the day before (Barafu) and then descend to Mweka camp at 3200 meters. The last day (Thursday), is only a 3 hour walk in the rainforest to get from Mweka camp to Mweka gate. A car ride back to Moshi will complete our Kilimanjaro adventure. What next?
