Thursday, August 10, 2006. A Dissertation on Rap Music. My excuse is that I'm a percussionist. I've been beating out rhythms on any available surface since I was old enough to coordinate my hand movements. It's in my blood, and therefore not my fault AT ALL that I occasionally indulge in some rap music. There is something about the beats and rhythms in a rap song that any percussionist and/or math freak can't help but crave. 1 I have some hos. 2 My clothes/shoes/dental appliances are great (and expensive).

We are planning a mass family vacation for Rian's side of the family later on this year, and we've chosen Vegas as the destination. Rian's best friend (Mark) just happened to marry one of my best friends from elementary school (Ariane) and they have an adorable little boy who is a year and a few months older than Oliver named Otto! Mark, Ariane, and Otto came over last night to visit for a bit. We put the boys beside each other on the couch to try to get a couple of pictures.
