I suppose I should have blogged about May 13th before Amelia's two month checkup. It occurred to me the other day that I completely forgot to altogether. We put a good dent in the cake at dinner, but Andrew and I have since finished off the whole thing by ourselves. So much for my diet plan. I woke up on Mother's Day to 9 cards to open, a new record!

MK has put herself through so many tests, medication changes, procedures, and numerous broken hearts in an attempt to find a way to become pregnant. My Wife is selfless. MK is a true nurturer and loves to care for others. My Wife is going to be a great mother. MK has researched every option that is out there to treat endometriosis and infertility. My Wife is smart. This is so sweeet!

Friday, January 27, 2012. Yesterday MK, her parents, and I all enjoyed a nice meal dropped off by two of MK's friends. Our room has been brightened by a couple beautiful floral arrangements and we received a wonderful gift basket full of all sorts of treats. MK was able to get up a little yesterday evening and take a sponge bath. Last night was a little tough with a low grade fever and the sweats. Having a difficult nurse last night didn't help much either. January 27, 2012 at 11:34 AM. MK is in a Room!

Thursday, January 26, 2012. MK is doing well today. Last night was smooth with the exception of the constant interruption of the nursing staff. We know it is required and we appreciate the sincere care. Today MK has been resting comfortably. This is the response that I get when I tell family, friends, and others that my 27 year old wife is having a total hysterectomy this Wednesday. After 5 difficult surgeries, it has been determined that Mary Kathryn’s reproductive system is causing too much discomfort and trauma to her body. Furthermore, it was discovered in December that her ovaries were functioning like a 40 year olds.

Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Today we played at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. What a fun place! There were a ton of exhibits with lots of places to play and explore! Here are some of the highlights . Andy helped Eden play with water and learn how to get water from the source to a house. Caleb wasn't so sure about this space capsule! But as always, he was pretty happy just hanging out in his stroller! I helped Abigail build a tower that would stay standing in an earthquake. We had a super fun day!
