It's a dangerous thing, stepping out your door…. Stories from the Moraes family in Asia. December 7, 2013. Nuala’s navigating and Andrew’s driving on the right (wrong) side of the road eventually got us to Zetzikon – fairly much the opposite of Singapore! We spent three days enjoying the hospitality of Roland, Ursula and Muriel – eating delicious cheese, salami and bread and going for long quiet walks in the countryside to meet all the various neighbourhood farm animals. It was lovely to explore the city...

It's a dangerous thing, stepping out your door…. Stories from the Moraes family in Asia. June 14, 2009. So after six weeks, what is that I’m doing here in Ranong exactly? So my career as Teacher Nuala is well and truly underway now – and it’s been (and still is daily) a pretty steep learning curve for me, bearing in mind the following factors:. I have sole responsibility for planning my lessons for the whole semester, and choosing appropriate resources to use. There is no curriculum. In some ways it̵...

https://lucyinafrica.wordpress.com/2010/11/14/on-the-streets-of-kisangani-part-1
Series Deux in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A bit of context…. Food for thought…. November 14, 2010. On the streets of Kisangani…part 1. Going home to NZ, as a change of contexts, shed new light on certain encounters and incidents here in Congo that I realised are worth sharing. Some I never shared because time just passed me by. Others seemed unimportant. And others seemed a little too precious to subject to the nakedness of the public domain. His stopping has a cumulative effect and after half...

Series Deux in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A bit of context…. Food for thought…. 8211; Kèbèmer avec Katie. Our ACF matatu van is dwarfed by a truck of returnees' belongings. And who or what decided to decimate the egg inside my tent? It’...

Series Deux in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A bit of context…. Food for thought…. November 7, 2010. Lights, camera, action against hunger…. Keeping people informed about what’s going on in places like the DR Congo is pretty important…getting the stories out about how much malnutrition still cripples the DRC and how ACF is working alongside the Congolese to fight that, is important to making it possible to keep doing what we do. For me one of the biggest questions when I look at any humanitarian ...

Greater Than, our new project. What would happen if you asked strangers what they LOVE? We went to the US Capitol and asked people to write down what they love and let us photograph them. In a time when we’re all very quick to express our frustration, we wanted to see what people loved — and to see if we had the nerve to ask strangers to open up about their passions. 8220;I Love the Law”. Labs: fn v1.2.1. . . Jan 17, 2014 at 11:03 am. The fn applet has been updated to work with OS X Mavericks 10.9 . OS X now has a different method for allowing an app like this to work, luckily the change is quite simple. When you first run v1.2.1 it should tell you that the app must be approved to allow an app to control your computer. The Irwin Family
Monday, February 14, 2011. As some of you may know we are heading out to BC for the summer. I am BEYOND excited. I get crazy just thinking about it! Well our plan is to pack everything up and just put it in storage. So we've been going through our stuff and getting rid of stuff. We took 6 garbage bags to Goodwill, 2 to some friends, and I have 3 rubbermaids of stuff for my sister! We are on fire! We had an awesome time. I also got to do some more crafting for this night too! Friday, February 4, 2011.
