A blog of random thoughts and photos. Wednesday, January 27, 2010. Every once in a while I get to take photos of something I have not seen before and yesterday I did. I get all dorkily excited and have to hide it from the patients because it always means there is something wrong with their eye. Anyway, these photos are awesome. Had to share. Another Dr refers this 87 year old to our Retina Dr for age-related macular degeneration (AMD). I have taken MANY photos and OCT's of AMD and knew it was not AMD.

Sunday, May 3, 2009. Team Magically Delicious, you ask? Now, here's a good story! A few months ago, Deb, Alicia and I decided to sign up as a relay team for the Smith Mountain Lake Sprint Triathlon. Backing up a few weeks.at first I thought.1/2 mile swim, 20K bike, and 5K run? No sweat, I can handle all of that on my own.sign me up! Needless to say, I failed the "assessment" miserably, because I just really don't know how to breathe correctly when swimming free style. Deb obviously chose one for us late ...

Tuesday, November 18, 2008. A Little Mexican Fiesta. Last night we made authentic Mexican cuisine, with the help of Scott Porter. We made two types of salsa.one that would make anyone breathe fire, except for Scott! We also made homemade corn tortillas, guacamole, carne asada, chicken, chili and lime soup (an interested experiment), refried black beans, and plantains for dessert. I love cooking! It makes me so happy every time! Here are a few pics! The King of Red Chilis. The Tortilla Chef at work.

Thursday, June 5, 2008. Home for Hayley and Sam's Birthdays. This Memorial Day weekend, in stead of the annual excursion down to Duck, NC, I decided to fly home to Chicago to spend a little QT with my sisters and parents.and most of all, the nieces and nephews. Hose to spend that w. Meeting my newest nephew, Devin Abraham, and participating in the birthday parties of Sam (6) and Hailey (4). As usual, I had such a great time with the kids, Beth and Emily and their spouses, and mom and dad!

A blog of random thoughts and photos. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. I have a lip gloss addiction. I noticed in my purse today that I have 8 things of lip gloss. ( Technically 2 of them are lipstick, but I will just put them in the lip gloss category.). This does not include the lip glosses I have in my bathroom nor the chapstick I carry in my pocket always.
