Guaranteed to produce uncomfortable silences and provoke thought where it's least wanted. Friday, March 17, 2006. US Death Squads in Iraq? Every so often an article surfaces which peels back the "shiny happy nation" generally promoted by the US and mainstream media, and a glimpse of the hellish reality of Iraq. Blasts through. http://highcourt.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
OAN High Court Blog. Tuesday, September 27, 2005. Plaintiff M70/2005 v MIMIA. Again, 22 September, application for mandamus and cert, way out of time, already heard by the Federal Court and decided in the absence of the Plaintiff. Again, the Plaintiff's application was dismissed, with costs. Again, he/she was unemployed. Can I just ask - what kind of justice system are we running? I haven't even gone into the merits or otherwise of the legislation, that is not my field, really ( see esp Andrew Bartlett.
