Andrew B. Moore. My thoughts, opinions, and brain dumps…. I’ll look into the effectiveness of some automated tools and try and get this feature back up as soon as I can. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. March 20, 2014. Posted on 19 May 2014. I've been using Git at work exclusively for a while now (like on Hackwater, we've finally moved off of Subversion), and I just want to leave a note to myself outlining some of the useful things I've come across. Drupal 6 maintenance mode missing head elements. Posted on 19 January 2012. Yesterday, I blacked out my site in protest of SOPA and PIPA. I figured the easiest way to do so was to create a quick custom theme just for the occasion, a minimalist theme inspired by BoingBoing's.

Goodbye, Google Reader; Hello, Tiny Tiny RSS! Posted on 24 June 2013. With Google Reader's impending retirement. I found myself needing to find an alternative for my RSS aggregation/reading needs. I did a lot of research and tried a few web-based replacements ( Feedly. But I found that the heavy load of other transitioning users made those services slow to update, especially when I could compare them to my still-live Google Reader view. Back to my roots. I can't express my love for Git's cheap branching model enough. With tools like the (hopefully seldom used). And the scary interactive rebase), my local branch garden is well-kept. But I'm also a fan of Github's workflow. For miscellaneous commands, I like. Git add - patch.

Router-behind-router setup for a Uverse 2Wire 3801HGV. Posted on 27 March 2014. Hackwater.net begins to stir from its long slumber. Posted on 05 February 2007. Wordpress 2.1 came out a couple of weeks ago, so I'll be installing that here soon. I just have to get my plugins and other custom crap out of the way so that I can put it back after installation. Took a month off. Posted on 05 January 2007. You may be interested in my code samples. My little Google Maps toy. Or my self-congratulatory afflatus.
