Wednesday, January 11, 2006. For you Kels (and all other Somersetians) here is a picture of Exmouth main street. Exmouth was exciting because:. There was lots of red earth! There were lots of emus wandering around (see 3rd pic). Cyclone clare was heading for exmouth when we were there! It missed Exmouth in the end but the build up was really exciting! Rosie's Tavern' is the only cyclone proof building in the town and many 'cyclone parties' were being planned when we were there! Posted by Luce at 12:45 pm.

Luce thoughts: November 2005
http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html
Monday, November 28, 2005. We have spent the last couple of days in Magnetic Island, an island 8km from Townsville in northern Queensland. I know you are all probably bored of me writing how beautiful places are, but so many places here are really beautiful - and Maggies (as the locals call Magnetic Island) is no exception. This experience had a lovely write up in the lonely planet, however these things are never as simple as they appear! However it is probably about 12yrs since I have been on a horse!

Luce thoughts: September 2005
http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 30, 2005. The wisdom of my Father. My Dad e-mailed me this yesterday - thought would pass on. I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all could use a little more calmness in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on the Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed, "the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started and never finished.". Posted by Luce at 9:54 am. Thursday, September 29, 2005. It wa...

Luce thoughts: December 2005
http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
Sunday, December 25, 2005. Well Christmas is not the same in the southern hemisphere - the girls in my room and I have renamed it 'Ozmas' which (although possibly blasphemy) seems more fitting! After a slightly obscure champagne brekkie we headed off to Rottnest Island with 1100 cans of beer and 60litres of wine! The island is incredibly beautiful - the textbook crystal clear waters and white sand. To see it for yourself (through the magic of technology! Posted by Luce at 1:28 pm. So yes quite random!

Tuesday, January 17, 2006. The pace in this place really doesnt let up! Out of my window I can see the lights of Orchard Road glaring, and throngs of people shopping. I have seriously never seen as many shops before-the street, which must be over a mile long, is lined on both sides with shopping centres, many of which having about 5levels including the ubiquous foodhall! Kaya toast is two pieces of small square bread toasted with a slab of butter and green sugary paste in the middle! I am not normally to...

Monday, January 16, 2006. Well today has been a busy day - started the day on orchard road, but only lasted about 20minutes- and most of that time was spent drinking coffee in burger king! Orchard Road has so much stuff it is actually scary. So I made my way round on a hop on hop off bus around Singapore. I travelled the whole route with map at the end of my nose trying to get my bearings! But it looks very impressive on the postcards! Including a bright sweet - which was sweet and er fishy! Luce, Applau...
