Andrew Foulkes: October 2005

http://andrewfoulkes.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html

Calm down girls.I know it's tempting, but I am married. I actually now have a beard, maybe a picture of this will appear soon (not a picture just of my beard of course, but a picture of me with my beard). Posted by Andrew Foulkes at 3:06 pm. Welcome to my blog.I like fast cars, coffee, the A-Team, Italian food (and drink! Sean William Scott ('like' as in funny, not fit) and I consider myself a follower of Jesus. Does this make sense? Ah i see you got some lovely spam. so here's a proper comment. i say 'proper' its just me saying hello. Wooo andrew - looking fine in that picture I must say. Better go back to the beach . ;). Not to worry, its hard to stay mad with someone who looks as special as you.

Andrew Foulkes: What's in a name?

http://andrewfoulkes.blogspot.com/2005/11/whats-in-name.html

What's in a name? At some point I want to explore a little more about how my opinion on being a Jesus follower could impact my work with young people. Am I looking to 'convert' young people or make them go/come to church? Not necessarily, I think I should be looking to sell the person of Jesus rather than selling 'conversion' or church. I'm sure that these aren't radical thoughts for some of you.but i'm enjoying myself! Posted by Andrew Foulkes at 12:25 pm. Is there a difference? I think there is. Unfort...

Andrew Foulkes: Films: Star Wars and Sideways

http://andrewfoulkes.blogspot.com/2005/11/films-star-wars-and-sideways.html

Films: Star Wars and Sideways. Revenge of the Sith" was definately the best out of the current SW trilogy as it nicely tied up the loose ends of the connections between this trilogy and the old. The fight scenes were tremendous (although Yoda dissapointed) and I can't wait to watch the original trilogy now. Let me know what good films you've seen lately, and if you have any comments on my thoughts, then please let me know. Untill next time! Posted by Andrew Foulkes at 4:24 pm. Andrew Foulkes: My beard!

http://andrewfoulkes.blogspot.com/2005/11/my-beard.html

Here it is, as promised, my beard. I had a dream last night that I shaved it off and was then disapointed because I hadn't got a picture of it onto my blog. I don't know now whether to shave it off or not. I'm quite impulsive at times and it's not beyond me to just do it tonight. However, it's hard to say goodbye when I think about:. How long it takes to grow. How warm it keeps me on these cold days. How mature and sexy I look with it (don't pretend it's not true! Posted by Andrew Foulkes at 3:21 pm.

http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2006/01/more-photos-for-you-kels-and-all-other.html

Wednesday, January 11, 2006. For you Kels (and all other Somersetians) here is a picture of Exmouth main street. Exmouth was exciting because:. There was lots of red earth! There were lots of emus wandering around (see 3rd pic). Cyclone clare was heading for exmouth when we were there! It missed Exmouth in the end but the build up was really exciting! Rosie's Tavern' is the only cyclone proof building in the town and many 'cyclone parties' were being planned when we were there! Posted by Luce at 12:45 pm.

Luce thoughts: November 2005

http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2005_11_01_archive.html

Monday, November 28, 2005. We have spent the last couple of days in Magnetic Island, an island 8km from Townsville in northern Queensland. I know you are all probably bored of me writing how beautiful places are, but so many places here are really beautiful - and Maggies (as the locals call Magnetic Island) is no exception. This experience had a lovely write up in the lonely planet, however these things are never as simple as they appear! However it is probably about 12yrs since I have been on a horse!

Thursday, January 12, 2006. Today has been my first taste of reverse culture shock- and I havent even left Australia yet! Today it has rained. I havent seen proper rain for ages. I had forgotten how grey it makes everything look! If the rain stops by tomorrow will go to outdoor cinema then, if not, perhaps I will make my own one day! Only 2 and a half days left in Oz! Posted by Luce at 11:09 am. Im sorry to say but get used to the rain hun theres going to be plenty of it back here! Well after the Christm...

Luce thoughts: September 2005

http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2005_09_01_archive.html

Friday, September 30, 2005. The wisdom of my Father. My Dad e-mailed me this yesterday - thought would pass on. I am passing this on to you because it definitely worked for me and we all could use a little more calmness in our lives. By following the simple advice I heard on the Dr. Phil show, I have finally found inner peace. Dr. Phil proclaimed, "the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you've started and never finished.". Posted by Luce at 9:54 am. Thursday, September 29, 2005. It wa...

http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2006/01/hello-from-singapore-well-i-am-writing.html

Sunday, January 15, 2006. Well I am writing from the computer in my room! I cannot really describe this hotel - it is unbelievable! Arriving at the massive entrance (think Cairns Shangri-la bex and lau! A porter took all my things and pointed the ways for me to check in across the marble foyer! With a cocktail bar in one corner, a bakery in another, a shopping centre in another this place is unbelievable! I got to my room on the 15th floor and was marvelling at the tv (operated by central system by bed!

Luce thoughts: December 2005

http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 25, 2005. Well Christmas is not the same in the southern hemisphere - the girls in my room and I have renamed it 'Ozmas' which (although possibly blasphemy) seems more fitting! After a slightly obscure champagne brekkie we headed off to Rottnest Island with 1100 cans of beer and 60litres of wine! The island is incredibly beautiful - the textbook crystal clear waters and white sand. To see it for yourself (through the magic of technology! Posted by Luce at 1:28 pm. So yes quite random!

Tuesday, January 10, 2006. Beautiful, beautiful beaches! From top: Turquoise bay Nr Exmouth, Coral Bay, Shell bay. In the first two photos, the darker colour in the sea shows the start of the reef. Posted by Luce at 12:39 pm. Exmouth never looked like that when I lived there! Miss you and love you loads. Birmingham - Taunton - Australia -? View my complete profile. Ellie&Johnny at the 'office'. http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2006/01/pace-in-this-place-really-doesnt-let.html

Tuesday, January 17, 2006. The pace in this place really doesnt let up! Out of my window I can see the lights of Orchard Road glaring, and throngs of people shopping. I have seriously never seen as many shops before-the street, which must be over a mile long, is lined on both sides with shopping centres, many of which having about 5levels including the ubiquous foodhall! Kaya toast is two pieces of small square bread toasted with a slab of butter and green sugary paste in the middle! I am not normally to...

http://lucethoughts.blogspot.com/2006/01/well-today-has-been-busy-day-started.html

Monday, January 16, 2006. Well today has been a busy day - started the day on orchard road, but only lasted about 20minutes- and most of that time was spent drinking coffee in burger king! Orchard Road has so much stuff it is actually scary. So I made my way round on a hop on hop off bus around Singapore. I travelled the whole route with map at the end of my nose trying to get my bearings! But it looks very impressive on the postcards! Including a bright sweet - which was sweet and er fishy! Behind the glass: A Photographer's journal

Behind the glass: A Photographer's journal. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. I took the pinhole camera out again this evening and tried making a few more blurry photos. It was a lot of fun and kind of frustrating. The pinhole really makes some interesting images, and forces you to shoot at really slow shutter speeds. Here are a few images. Tuesday, July 30, 2013. I really fell in love with the pinhole camera idea while shooting this, and can't wait to try it out in the daylight! Wednesday, March 20, 2013. The o...
