Agile Atlanta User Group

Lately (as of 2012), our group has been doing more tours and fewer sit-down for a presentation style meetings. Attendees have found the tours valuable. Agile Atlanta will surely have more traditional meetings in the future, but for the next few months we're focusing on tours. Let us know. You can email the group's leadership at agile-atlanta-owner@yahoogroups.com or post to the group with agile-atlanta@yahoogroups.com or tweet at @agileatlanta. Yuval Yeret on Lean/Agile/Flow. Writings From The Desk Of An Agile Sparkie. Impressions from Lean Systems and Software Conference 2012 Boston. As I prepare to check out from the Boston Seaport Hotel which was the venue of this year’s LSSC conference. And did a magnificent job hosting us! Here are my highlights/impressions of the conference. Ambitious and thought-provoking or even provocative talk about the transition participation engine as well as in my attempt to “fix” continuous improvement. S and alt...

Yuval Yeret on Lean/Agile/Flow. Writings From The Desk Of An Agile Sparkie. Explaining MVPs, MVFs, MMFs via the Lean/Agile Requirements Dinosaur. In the last few weeks I’ve been using a new visualization that people find useful for understanding the relationship between the various Lean/Agile requirement containers. Some people call the full model a dinosaur. Others are reminded of the snake who ate an elephant. From “The Little Prince”. I’m sure there is a good connection to elephant carpaccio. You esse...

This is a blog about my adventures through youth competition climbing, and the experiences that I have as I continue to pursue the sport I love. Any comments giving helpful advice on how to improve my posts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Thursday, 19 February 2015. Two posts in two weeks? Pretty crazy. This is another long one, and it gets a little sappy. You have been warned. Last move of Qualifier 2. Photo: Shane Murdoch. Topping the fourth finals problem. Photo: Shane Murdoch. February 26, 2015. I've recently seen a small number of teams create Spikes. For defects. That seems strange to me. If you have a good reason for doing this, please let me know. It should be rare that we’d have a spike to research a defect. Defects almost always have some amount of unknown research and debugging to them. It would seem strange to me to have a SPIKE to debug a problem which would then be fixed under a Defect. A recommended or common practice. Posted by Andrew Fuqua. Links to this post.
