I have been fascinated by Photography (both in still and moving form) from an early age, having been given a Plastic Diana almost the moment I could walk. I studied Theatre Arts and Visual Arts at Rolle College Exmouth in the early 1980’s, using Photography as a major element of my art work. Subjects for my work are varied. I am interested in Environmental and Landscape scenes, in particular within the area I live, in and around Dorchester, Dorset. I taught AS/A’ level Photography for over fifteen years.

Andrew Gillman Photo Sales. I look for the organic, the rough, the scrappy – the basic signs of vital life in the raw. Very often the images are framed in a way that gives the feeling that they have been caught by accident and in the next second the fleeting opportunity would no longer have existed. In others, there is deliberate camera shake and discordant framing to imply a greater story than is confined by the image. This is one of the reason I like corridors, lifts and offices.
