I wanted to wake them up and tell them where we were going once we got into the car. This idea had a side benefit that the kids got a good night sleep before we left. I wanted to get to Epcot when the parked opened because I had read the touringplans.com reviews and they said certain rides like Soarin would get backed up fast. We decided to drive because it was slightly faster than the bus and I knew that we would be leaving after the Illuminations show with everyone else.
