I Heart Nihon: February 2008
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Wednesday, February 13, 2008. The Dead of Winter. Reasons why I do not like winter here:. A wall completely made of windows. The one room living in order to conserve any heat that might come out of the air con heater. The sliding doors that close off the room with the air con style heater which leave a lovely little freezing cold breeze blowing in at every crack. The bathroom being on the "other" side, the part of the house that has no heat at all. Posted by lucky at 7:02 PM.

I Heart Nihon: May 2008
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Some questions that my elementary school kids have asked me in the past:. Do you have cows? Do you have children? Are you a junior high school student? How old are you? Why aren't you married yet? Do you live alone? You should get married then! I'm okay, thanks though for your concern.). They really are quite sweet, even if a little to eager to get married. I holler. Posted by lucky at 11:35 PM. Sleeping in an Internet Booth. Sunday, May 04, 2008.

I Heart Nihon: April 2008
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2008_04_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Thursday, April 24, 2008. So the other day I met some First graders at one of my elementary schools. Since it was my first time meeting them (most of them, I'd met a couple of them around the town before through siblings and such), I was going to do a little self-introduction. I usually do something very simple for the young ones. Three or so sentences with lots of gestures:. My name is Lucky! I am 25 years old! Nice to meet you! I just might do that you little! Good They kno...

I Heart Nihon: March 2008
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Friday, March 28, 2008. Today at lunchtime I went home and after I ate I hung about in my hammock enjoying the warm midday sun. Except it's hot, I could feel it burning my skin after a few minutes. I feel like it's camping season! It still gets really cold at night, down to 0, and yesterday it hailed here! But when it's a warm sunny afternoon, it's hard not to think about running off into the mountains and jumping into a lake. Posted by lucky at 2:38 PM. I guess birthdays are...

I Heart Nihon: July 2007
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Tuesday, July 10, 2007. The other night I was biking home from the local eating/drinking spot and as I felt my way through the dark, on the path by the river that runs to my house, I was reminded of that day of biking adventure in Cambodia. Biking towards Angkor Wat in the darkest of night before the sun rose was just like biking home in Kedoin. After dinner. Except in Kedoin I was praying I wouldn't accidentally bike over a snake or into a gigantic spider's web. I actually d...

I Heart Nihon: August 2007
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Thursday, August 30, 2007. Summer Hol's I ("the big mikan"). Next week classes start again. I can't wait for them to start, I've been sitting at my desk trying to study Japanese and wasting hours on the internet. I'm much more organized and efficient when I'm ridiculously busy. Tokyo (aka "the big mikan"). A mikan is an orange, so "the big orange", and no, I have no idea why. Why is New York "the big apple" and (apparently) Bangkok "the big mango"? What would Vancouver be?

I Heart Nihon: November 2007
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Wednesday, November 28, 2007. They weren't all for eating though. We took some on a woven grass holder and walked over to the corner of a rice field nearby. Here, there was a small statue that was a few hundred years old! We returned to the hall where lunch was set up (thanks to all the moms working hard in the kitchen! And the 3 generations sat down together and ate the harvest meal. I sat there eating thinking, this is just like thanksgiving back home! I spent the end of my...

I Heart Nihon: October 2006
http://iheartnihon.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
But I miss california rolls. Tuesday, October 17, 2006. On the way to KAPIC I picked up two lovely ladies from. Kiri and Riley; we took the scenic route around Kinko bay to our destination. Our main stop was on. For a little walk about some lava fields. Our plan was to meet and follow the bus carrying ALTs to KAPIC from the ferry terminal parking lot. After missing a turn we almost ended up ON the ferry, heading back to where we just drove from. After many sumimasens (excuse us! To the east of. I spent a...

But I miss california rolls. Monday, February 19, 2007. Pictures from Winter Hol's. Pictures from my winter trip! Josh and Lucky's Adventures in SEA. Posted by lucky at 3:14 PM. Friday, February 09, 2007. This winter I did something a little crazy and left Japan! I know what you're thinking. What? You flew all the way across the ocean and then you did what? You flew some more? You little lucky bum! We spent the rest of the day biking around. I need to do that more. Back to our hunt for the landmine museu...
