http://drewneagle.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
Monday, 11 August 2008. Out in the Boonies. Oil on board 10*12. Oil on Board 8*10. I painted this when we went camping the other day, I should have waited for another couple of hours to have painted it, then I would have had better light so by the time I had finished painting the light had changed so much. I know for next time. Monday, 4 August 2008. Oil on Gessoed board 8*10. And this happened about 6 or 7 times. so I just sat in the van side door and it flew away after that. Oil on Gessoed board 8*10.

Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am always surprised by the outcome as it it never turns out the way that I think it would. I'm trying to figure out how to paint and I have studied with Jerry Markham and Doug Swinton, local artists here in Calgary, Canada. I'm getting there it's taking longer than I thought. Other Things I Do.

Andrew Neagle: February 2011
http://drewneagle.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Friday, 25 February 2011. 6*6 Oil on Board. I think I need some better editing software for these paintings,. I usually colour correct them, then post them. For some. Reason this one turns to the brown more than the red. Painting small items can get a bit finicky. As you want to put down detail,. Not too much, just enough to be interesting to look at. Thursday, 24 February 2011. Oil on board 6*6. With this painting I wanted to see how light I could go. And still have dark and light,. 11*14 oil on board.

My Family News: October 2009
http://myfamilynewspaper.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, 25 October 2009. A couple of weeks ago one of our hens, Fortunata, was on her last legs, so we brought her into the house (caged of course) to nurse her back to health. Within a week it was well and we returned her to her mates in the coop. But M said that left a lonely void in the house - she had got used to talking to her. We also got them checked by a vet, but they are in good health. But enough waffle, allow me to introduce the new arrivals with this time lapse film:. View my complete profile.

Saturday, 16 November 2013. Oil on Canvas 11*14. This is a scene that I created from a bunch of photographs and remembered dusk sky, I noticed the moon rising over the horizon when I was coming home from a scouting trip and I thought that would work in a painting. Oil on board 8*10. I found this stream out on 3 point road I simplified the painting and tried rearranging the scenery to make the painting work better. Yellow Fields of Autumn. Oil on Board 8*10. My Family News: Ouch!
http://myfamilynewspaper.blogspot.com/2010/04/ouch.html
Sunday, 4 April 2010. This is E's back yesterday. One website that spoke about the pox suggested a child might get 50 or more spots. E definitely has the 'or more' part of this. This afternoon it is worse than this picture and I estimated the 50 could be found in any 4 inch square you cared to pick. Now fast asleep (finally) after the hospital visit you can get some idea of his discomfort. E keeps telling us not to "see". "Don't see" he says, feeling self conscious about his appearance. When T had chicke...
