Traditional culture meets the modern world. Tachikata (dancers): Geiko Tsuruha, Makiko, Yukako, Chisako Sayaka of Gion Kobu. Jikata (accompanists): Geiko Dan-yū, Kimizuru, Masuho, and Tomichiyo of Gion Kobu. Since I last made a blog post. So much to do, so little time! Anyways, this dance has always interested me since I saw Konomi-san perform “Momiji Uri” (“Selling Maple Leaves”) at the end of this program ( link.
